Introduction
Thinqer is pioneering landmark innovations in teaching and learning processes across all programs in all schools at RK University. These innovations include introduction of active learning methods, designing participative learning experiences, using group and team learning methods, introduction of University Bridge Program, etc. Along with these academic innovations, there is an ongoing reformation in the administrative functioning of the university as well. These changes cannot be effective unless the faculties and staff are empowered with requisite knowledge and skills to perform their duties.
Moreover, a key goal of RKU is to engage with community, both inside and outside the University, to create positive impact. There are great opportunities to positively impact general community by leveraging RKU’s academic and operational strengths to disseminate knowledge and skills. It, then, becomes necessary to establish an appropriate platform for these activities to be conducted, whether for RKU internal members or general public. Centre for Professional Development (CPD) is envisaged a platform that will cater to the training and development needs of RKU members and general public.
